Job Title: Epic Clinical Analyst, Beaker
Level: Entry-Level or junior
Overview:
This role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of Epic's clinical software, specifically the Beaker lab module. You'll help improve healthcare workflows by working with other analysts and clinical staff to understand how the system should function, and ensure it supports hospital operations.
Hybrid schedule generally 3 days on-site per week and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and work with the Epic EMR system, especially the Beaker module.
- Help design and set up system workflows and configurations.
- Train healthcare staff on using the system.
- Troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions.
- Test system updates and new features.
- Create and manage reports, data sets, and documentation.
- Support system updates, including reviewing vendor releases.
- Help ensure the system meets federal healthcare standards like Meaningful Use.
- Be available for on-call support (24/7 availability may be needed).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent work experience).
- Preferred fields: Healthcare, IT, Informatics, Sciences, or licensed clinical roles like RN, PA, etc.
Experience & Skills:
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare or using an EHR (Epic preferred).
- Familiarity with hospital operations and workflows.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with software, including Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with training, clinical systems, or project work is a plus.
Certification:
- Must obtain Epic Beaker certification within 6 months of hire.
