Position Summary: A detailed oriented database administrator that will be successful assisting in managing on-premise and cloud-based database servers and related components to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
SQL Data Development for Ad-hoc requests, SSIS and SSRS
Assist in performance tuning stored procedures, views and other SQL objects
Assist in the execution of processes for optimizing database security
Assist in setting and maintaining database standards
Assist in documentation of databases and environments
Support customer and client request issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
Create automation for repeating database tasks
Be available for on-call support as needed
Participate in the data modeling and data integration processes
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor related to database work
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
1+ years of experience as a database administrator professionally or through education.
Excellent analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter and able to perform tasks independently from start to finish
Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball .
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a roll up your sleeves and today not tomorrow mentality.
Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand, no matter how minute, by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Above average or strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Knowledge of agile software development methodology
Solid understanding of basic SQL, SQL Server, and SQL server tools
Basic understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamental
