Job Description


Working with doctors about 15-20 patients a day, on the phone about 50 patients a day. Able to perform refills, experience with pharmacology ( recognize drug names and correct pronunciation), medical terminology, drawing blood, asking the right questions, working front desk, schedule in rooms, and general nursing skills.its a family practice setting - about 30 staff members in a big open layout office. Cannot be stuck in your ways, willing to try new methods The culture is that everyone wants to be one big family in here, doctors want to teach you everything, must be willing to listen and learn. Strict Dress code, scrubs or business casual - no hoodies, no acrylic nails, no tattoos showing, no facial piercing other than earsBe professional and courteousno cell phones in the Bull pen or with patientsThe shift is M-F from 830AM - 5PM (may be scheduled as early as 7am, or as late as 7pm, but will adjust end and start according ie 7am -330pm or 1130am to 7pm)LPNEPIC, checking vitals, rooming patients, medication, no procedures, pap smears, calculating meds, vaccines conversions (no vaccines by candidate, just the conversion), EKG, collecting urine specimens, minimum blood draw no phlebotomy, curve testings, no swabbing or upper respiratory due to covid, how to help physician prepare for video visit, (daily video consultations several daily), irrigations, refills through mychart, triage phone calls, Room patients, go over history, vitals, EKG placements, irrigations, basic knowledge, go over medicine, pap smears, Pediatrics experience,Fast learner, honest, respectful, good communication, hard worker, showing initiative, reliable, team player, and uses extra second helping others. Reliable, shows up, and tries hard. Willingly to learn, Easy going, attention to detail.Candidate must be proficient in checking vitals (BP, pulse, temperature, O2 levels, etc), and be able to documentation with great attention to detail. Follow instructions from RN, senior CMAs, or senior staff in general. No one is going to hold your hand, you need to be proficient or get proficient immediately.Taking medical historiesExplaining treatment procedures to patientsPreparing patients for examinationsAssisting the physician during examinationsCollecting and preparing laboratory specimensPerforming basic laboratory testsInstructing patients about medication and special dietsPreparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injectionsincluding vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (eg, a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)Transmitting prescription refills as directedPhlebotomyTaking electrocardiogramsWound care and changing dressings
