Manpower is currently looking for experienced Machine Operator for our busy engineering company based in Ls9
We are ideally looking for candidate with previous CNC experience however we would consider someone who has good understanding on operating machines within manufacturing / engineering environment.
Ideal candidate will have previous experience working on Router Machine.
This is temp to perm contract.
While on training for first few weeks maybe months you would be working days either 7am - 3.30pm Mon to Friday or 8am - 4.30pm or even 6am - 2.30 - EARLY Finish on Fridays by 2 hours.
Once full training completed you will move onto 4 x 12 hours shifts (Mon, Tue, Weds, Thurs) 6pm-6am . LONG WEEKEND EVERY WEEKEND
Pay Rate - DOE 9.59- 13.25 per hour, Enhanced rate for nights

You will work as part of an established manufacturing team and your duties will include:
To identify materials and tooling from a job pack
Follow design drawings and measure dimensions
Programme machinery and complete first off inspection
To ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule
Work towards the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in line with Company objectives to support the continuous improvement of the Company.
To carry out any other relevant tasks
Key experience must include:
- a good understanding of routers, toolpath and de-burring components
- experience of following design drawings
- Experience of operating and setting up CNC router machinery
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to identify errors, defects
