We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major residential project in Birmingham on a short-term contract basis. This role will focus primarily on quality assurance, ensuring all mechanical installations meet required standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and carry out QA inspections of mechanical installations across the project
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations, standards, and project requirements
- Identify and report defects, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain accurate QA documentation and reports
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and project management
- Support commissioning and handover processes where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large residential or similar projects
- Strong knowledge of QA processes and mechanical compliance standards
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
